Hello lovely readers! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the blog, but I’m back after two hectic weeks! After recently starting a new job in my dream career, I’ve been overwhelmingly busy trying to balance work, my social life, and blogging.

Two weeks ago, my best friend and I took a weekend trip up to the hills in Blue Mountain. It was the perfect fall getaway to unwind before heading back into real life. If you know me, you know I absolutely love Autumn and try to make the most of everything fall each year. Fall is my favorite time of year to take a trip to unwind and relax while enjoying the stunning views.

APPRECIATING THE VIEWS

After checking in, we spent some time unpacking in our room and taking in the gorgeous view. Our balcony overlooked the resort’s pool, hot tub, and the surrounding colourful hills. I’m always so impressed by Blue Mountain’s breathtaking views. Blue Mountain has always been my go to spot for a fall getaway for that reason! I live for Autumn views and this one definitely lived up to my expectations.

CATCHING UP AND UNWINDING

After exploring the village, we grabbed a coffee and sat down by the small pond overlooking the mountains. There are so many things to do in Blue Mountain throughout the year and fall is no exception. We settled on catching up over a cup of coffee. The best part about a weekend getaway is that there’s no pressure to see and do everything if you don’t want to. Whether you want to head out for a fall hike or stay in and read a book by the fireplace- it’s entirely up to you!

BEING OKAY WITH DITCHING THE ITINERARY

Often, when I plan a trip, I’m always on the go. I want to see everything and explore every inch of where I am. This time, I was completely okay with sitting back and enjoying my time without a to-do list. It’s so refreshing to ditch the itinerary and truly relax while on a getaway.

Have you taken any fall getaways this season? I’d love to hear about your experiences!
