Mirror Exercise Before Morning Meditation
Not long ago, I listened to an Alan Watts audio that was recommended by a friend. He was talking about how we feel this need for self-improvement. How we want to fall into grace, whether externally by our version of God, or internally by ourselves.
I am always working hard at improving myself and changing myself for what I consider the better. I also work hard to spread this message to others, which is shared through my blog, social media, and affirmation bracelets. I know that the work you put in to reach your highest potential is the greatest gift you can give to others. Actually, I believe this has to be done before you can truly give to others.
But what if we are working from a place of “I’m not good enough”? This seems to be the problem that far too many face.
Everything I study says that we are already whole, we are already perfect. Before we begin, we are already complete. That means, there is nothing to be done, right?
Have you ever considered to not change yourself? To be in complete satisfaction of who you are and where you are, while simultaneously wanting to grow into new experiences.
That is the key. New experiences.
We are people who always want to experience something new..
To get to these new experiences, new energies, we must become the energy.
Affirm: I am enough.
There is nothing wrong with you. There is nothing to fix. You are already whole. But because the vibration of our thoughts, our emotions, our bodies, and our behavior dictate our reality, we must change those factors to live the lives we wish to live. Raise your vibration, Raise your life.
So approach growth and personal development as simply the steps to take to experience something new. Don’t try to make things more complex than they are. You do not need to change yourself. Your vibration will change as you experience new things.
Approach meditation with glee. It is but another dive into the adventure of knowing yourself, not a feeling of, “I’m not good enough, and must do something to become whole.”
Mirror Exercise:
- Look at yourself in the mirror
- Take a deep breath
- Relax and release
