Happy first day of Fall! It’s officially finally Autumn, so I’m just going to ignore the fact that it feels like nearly 30 degrees outside today. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, but I feel as though it’s time for a change. I’m really looking forward to the many changes and the energy shift that this season will bring. If you’re looking for a relaxed bucket list for Autumn, you’ve come to the right place. I’m so excited to create a fall to-do list and hope you enjoy these Autumn themed ideas!
VISIT A FARM
Am I the only one who absolutely adores going to the farm?! I do this every single Autumn to get into the fall spirit. Corn mazes, pumpkin picking, hot apple cider and fresh autumn bakes a few of many reasons to visit a farm this fall.
TRY NEW FALL-THEMED BAKES
I’d like to embrace some new baking recipes this fall. There are so many tasty treats to bake in the fall to get you into the Autumn spirit. So far, my baking would consist of popping the Pilsburry Halloween cookies into the oven and not burning them. To try and up my baking game, I’ll be putting together my favourite baking recipes and trying them out this Autumn!
WRITE IN YOUR JOURNAL
I’d like to reflect on my goals, feelings and thoughts in my journal. As seasons change, our lives and the energy around us does as well which is why it’s so important to stay in touch with ourselves.
CREATE A VISION BOARD
Whether it’s an actual vision board, or it’s in a journal, having a vision board is key to keep those goals on track. If you don’t own one already, now is a great time to create one to reflect your goals for this year. For me, My Pinterest is my vision board, but I’ll be creating a smaller version as well. I love to have something physical that I can look at daily for myself.
HAVE A COZY NIGHT IN
Cozy nights in, especially closer to Halloween are a favourite of mine. Watching a classic Halloween flick while cozied up in a just out of the dryer duvet is a perfect night in. If you feel more like relaxing, this is definitely a great thing to add to your fall to-do list.
PICK UP A NEW READ
Autumn is the perfect season to find a new read to commit to. The weather is made for it, and so many new books are always hitting shelves this time of year. I’m reading a couple new reads this month that I’ll be reviewing at the end of this month.
GO ON AN FALL HIKE
The scenery is by far the reason why Autumn is the most beautiful season. Go for a weekend adventure and head on an Autumn hike to catch all of the changing leaves, vibrant colours and crisp air.
CHECK-IN WITH YOURSELF
As always, a little reminder to practice self-care and to check in with yourself. I like to check in with myself every Sunday. I reflect on how my week went, how I’m feeling, what I accomplished and what I’d like to change or work on in the week ahead. Having one day a week dedicated to reflecting on yourself is so important and has helped me recharge and motivate myself each week.
How do you like to unwind during the fall? I’d love to hear your ideas and plans for this Autumn.
