Happy September everyone! I still find it hard to wrap my mind around there only being four months left before the New Year. Here’s to the beginning of a new school year for those in school!
I’ve been feeling incredibly inspired to set goals that will help me manifest my dreams, and I feel that September is the perfect month to start that. I’m a firm believer in setting affirmations and in encouraging self-talk. It can be so easy to fall into a pattern of negative self-talk. Feeling unworthy and doubtful of yourself is often one of the biggest challenges in wholeheartedly pursuing your goals.
Affirmations are a powerful way to encourage positive self-talk and to keep goals and positive beliefs at the forefront of your thoughts. After reading about the power of setting affirmations, I’ve begun to set my own affirmations into my daily life. Here is a list of six affirmations to set to help you achieve your goals before the New Year.
I AM CONFIDENT, COURAGEOUS AND FREE IN PURSUING MY GOALS
I repeat this to myself whenever I question myself and whether my dreams are truly achievable. Know that you are confident, know that these are the goals you wish to pursue, and are totally free in doing so.
I WILL FACE OBSTACLES AND CHALLENGES WITH GRACE, AND RESILIENCE
Challenges and obstacles are simply part of the journey towards your goals. They often hold a lesson and moments of strength within them, and the best way through them is with grace and resilience.
I UNDERSTAND THAT SUCCESS TAKES PATIENCE AND TIME
It’s going to take time, and that’s okay. What truly marks your success is your resilience and perseverance. Accept that achieving your goals will take hard work, time and patience. Everyone starts somewhere. Accept and embrace that this is not something meant to be rushed.
I WILL BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY FOCUSED AND DETERMINED TO REACH MY GOALS
One thing that I’ve learned is to never apologize for being driven and focused on your goals. These are your goals and dreams, and determination is everything. Don’t allow the words or remarks of others throw you off of your course.
I AM PATIENT AND KIND WITH MYSELF AS I GROW
Working towards your goals takes time, work, and involves self acceptance as well as growth. Be patient with yourself, and kind when you feel frustrated and impatient. You deserve kindness, too.
I EMBRACE THE CHANGE THAT COMES WITH GROWTH
When you start to take positive steps forward in your life, you inevitably change through growth. Embrace the changes that happen within your life. The steps you’ve taken to pursue your goals will change you through positivity, growth and evolving.
